Baby Giraffes

I love baby giraffes. They are so cute! Everyone is talking about April the giraffe's new baby that was born on April 15th. Let's keep our fingers crossed that the zoo names him Raffi after our beloved giraffe from "Raffi and Friends - The Lunch Box Mystery."

There's another cute little giraffe that was born a couple of months ago at the Maryland zoo in Baltimore, MD. Her name is Willow. A friend of mine told me that he took his family to the zoo yesterday for Easter and got to see Willow and actually fed the giraffes. I really have to take some time to get to the Maryland zoo and see Willow.

While April was pregnant, I learned that giraffe's gestation period is 14-15 months and the babies usually are around 6 feet talk. April's baby is 5'9". He's definitely taller than I am!
