To Clean or Not to Clean, That is the Question

Can you imagine not taking a bath for 47 years?! Well that's what Real Owie and Real Torrey have done. These two have never been cleaned. Never. Ever.

From time to time, I think about cleaning them but then I have flashbacks to the time I took a stuffed elephant to the dry cleaners (thinking that was a safer way to clean it) and it was returned to me with no eyes. My stuffed elephant was blind! I had to paint some back on with nail polish.

On the other hand, I think about when I was a small child and I couldn't get rid of an infection or something. It would go away and then come back. The doctor asked my mother did I sleep with a stuffed animal and told her that the animal was probably causing me to get reinfected. The culprit was Torrey! My mom took him away and I had to sleep without him for about a week. Maybe she did wash him...I really don't know....but I never have.

Owie and Torrey are so old now that I'm afraid that if I clean them, they will disintegrate.

So I guess the answer is "not to clean".
